Pasos Receives $25,000 Grant from The Dallas Foundation!

Today, on August 29, 2022, The Dallas Foundation announced that 25 nonprofits, including Pasos for Oak Cliff (us), received over 2.5 Million dollars worth of grants.
Pasos was blessed with $25,000 to expand its summer program, The Pasos All Stars Sneaker Engineering Program.
During the summer of 2022, Pasos launched the inaugural Pasos All Stars program with the aid of Dallas College at Mountain View, The Dallas Mavericks, and Uniformity. The goal of the program is to close literacy and math gaps for rising 9th graders who failed to meet on their English and Math STARR test in 8th grade. To motivate the scholars, we synchronized literacy and math with sneaker engineering. Students not only improved their literacy and math skills, but also designed their own sneaker.
With the aid the The Dallas Foundation, we will be able to implement an extension of the Pasos All Stars program into the 2022-2023 school year. We will partner with Dallas College at Mountain View to host Shakeback Saturdays, where we check up on the progress of our scholars in literacy and math, provide tutoring, mentorship, educational field trips, career readiness, and more.

Mình không phải kiểu đánh theo cảm xúc cho vui, nhưng cũng chẳng đặt nặng chuyện hên xui. Thường mình hay lật lại vài kỳ gần nhất, ghi chú xem nhóm số nào hay lặp rồi chọn vài con thấy hợp mắt. Trúng được chút thì cũng vui, còn trượt hết thì coi như bỏ qua, chủ yếu để xả stress sau giờ làm. Thỉnh thoảng mình đọc mấy bài kiểu dự đoán xổ số miền bắc, nếu đọc tỉnh táo thì cũng có thêm góc nhìn, nhất là đoạn nói về cầu với thống kê. Mình luôn tự nhắc là chơi vừa phải, biết dừng đúng lúc kẻo cuốn theo lại mệt. Mình cũng hay bàn với mấy đứa…
