Pasos Con 2021 Recap

On Sunday, September 12th, Pasos for Oak Cliff hosted Pasos Con at Four Corners Brewing

Company in Dallas, TX. The event was a Sneaker and Vintage event with 50 local vendors

aimed at fundraising for the Pasos’ scholarships for 2022.

Sneaker Politics, Mudhook Bar & Grill, Black and Bitter Coffee, Hangover Riders, Tacos Tec, and Four Corners Brewing Company were the sponsors who helped make the event possible. Some of the best Dallas DJs also came out to support: DJ Inzo, DJ Swavor, and DJ Mutemor.

The event was free to all ages and a donation of $5 allowed people one entry to win a prize - one of 5 $100 gift cards from Sneaker Politics and the grand prize: the choice between a $500 or a pair of Air Jordan 1 “University Blue.”

Jesse with Mike and Rod, from Sneaker Politics, and a winner.

The event began at 11 AM with people arriving promptly. There were amazing volunteers

greeting everyone at the door. A table with Pasos for Oak Cliff merch was placed as attendees walked in where they could also donate. Almost everyone that walked in donated and seemed eager to support and learn more. The event kicked off

smoothly with vendors quickly becoming busy and the line to donate grew.

Prior to officially ending the event, the winner of the grand prize was announced. The owners of That’s My Hood won and chose the $500 but donated $100 back to Pasos. The organization ended the event with a grand total of $2,000 fundraised which was way past the goal!
