Pasos for Oak Cliff, a non-profit, is set up by Jesse Acosta, a high school teacher, and Alejandra Zendejas, a math tutor. We both consider ourselves sneakerheads.
As sneakerhead educators and members of the community, we are fully aware that parents and guardians struggle to supply some basic necessities for their children - this is especially true when it comes to shoes.
As a result, we decided to turn our LOVE for sneakers into a proactive start up - Pasos for Oak Cliff. The goal of Pasos for Oak Cliff is to give students new shoes. The lack of good quality shoes leads to discomfort, ridicule, bullying, and isolation. We can prevent that from happening, but we cannot do it alone, we need YOUR SUPPORT.
Sole Savy x Centre x Magnolia
From August 20-21, 2021, SoleSavy teamed up with Centre and Magnolia Skate Shop for a two-day event that celebrated Pasos for Oak Cliff's one year anniversary and to collect 500 pairs of shoes (physical or monetary) for students in need
in the Dallas-Fort Worth region.
The event concluded with $11,000 fundraised and 440 pairs of shoes collected.

ABOUT PASOS
Pasos for Oak Cliff is a 501(c)(3) education based non-profit founded on August 2020. The mission is to improve educational inequities by giving new shoes to students in need and by providing scholarships for first-generation low-income college students.
Pasos was founder by Jesse Acosta, a high school teacher, and Alejandra Zendejas, a math tutor. They both consider themselves sneakerheads.
Hence, one of Pasos' goals is to give stylish sneakers that will boost confidence for the student. In effect, increasing school attendance and grades.
As of August 2021, Pasos has given out 1,000+ pairs of shoes.
